Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive, transfer to your hotel in Arusha, relax, and meet your mountain guide for a trek briefing.

Accommodation: Hotel in Arusha
Day 2: Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut

Drive to Momella Gate, register, and trek through grasslands and montane forest with an armed ranger and wildlife sightings.

Distance 10 km | Hiking 4-6 hours | Accommodation: Miriakamba Hut
Day 3: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut

Ascend through forest and heath vegetation to Saddle Hut, with optional acclimatization hike to Little Meru.

Distance 8 km | Hiking 3-5 hours | Accommodation: Saddle Hut
Day 4: Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak to Momella Gate

Begin around midnight, summit Socialist Peak at sunrise, descend to Momella Gate, and transfer back to Arusha.

Distance 19 km | Hiking 10-12 hours
